About Me

My artwork is a visual exploration of the interaction between brushstrokes, colours and textures. The energies create a harmony of visual connection between the languages of human experiences. As a female artist, I aim to convey the idea that feminine figures are confident and find a connection in a meaningful way even in the place we go when things are uncertain.

In traditional representation feminine figures often felt exposed and vulnerable. In my painting, I use my figure as a metaphor to be bold, to be brave. Through my art, I seek to be both representational and abstract.

My inspiration is my fascination with nature, florals, still life, and everything I encounter with human figures- the whole relational ecosystem.

To bring this creative concept and idea to life, I employ a mixed media approach that combines traditional techniques with various unconventional materials to build extensive textural language in my painting. I allow imperfection to emerge on the canvas to create different values and shapes that translate into meaningful dialogue. Creating on canvas has been a wonder and amazement for my brain.

Born and raised in Canada, nestled in the heart of the prairies, I have always been captivated by the stunning natural open green field. My journey as an artist began 2012, when I went on self-study of visual art and working with primary oil and acrylic mediums.

Over the years, my work has been featured locally in my community markets and trade shows. I have also been accepted into juried shows with The Federation of Canadian Artists of which I am an Active Member.

My life journey has allowed me to dedicate more time to creating art which has allowed me to explore further the themes that drive my curiosity in my art. Through my continued artistic endeavours, I hope to inspire others to reflect on the relationship between the feminine, the human figure, and the natural world, fostering a deeper appreciation for our interconnection with vulnerability and bravery.
